Nasdaq Futures / NQ – Forecast for 08 April 2025

Bears will be back and might be intense

Bearish sentiment is expected today. We are in a time cycle that started on 29-March-2025 which indicates a weakening around 17-Apr-2025. Today's time cycle suggests weak bearish moves, but we are still affected by the previous day's overlapping time cycle and therefore likely to see strong strong drops and slow bullish pullbacks. We might be testing previous lows or near those levels again. However, the time cycles also suggest bullish moves coming on 9th and 10th of April.

Yesterday, we expected strong bullish rally due to the spill over of a smaller bullish time cycle from the weekends. That has played out in the first half of yesterday. However we did not see a large drop later, and that might increase the bearish intensity today. At the time of writing this (about 5 hours to open), NQ is at 17800 and that is resistance zone. We saw prices up to 18350, which did not sustain and turned out that it was a rumor based rally.

If NQ drops again today, it might take a support around 16500 levels for a couple of days. Without a strong downward momentum, the 14300 levels are less likely to happen today. We continue to be in a larger bearish cycle, and in the next couple of days (but not today) we will be in small bullish cycle.

Today's opening trade bias at 9.30am.

Near the opening time, around 9.23 am (pre-open), I expect a bearish moves which might pause around 9.29 am and then continue to be bearish again at 9.31 am to 9.35am.

There is an a likelihood of choppy range bound markets after 13.00 hours until the market closes. Observe the price action before playing a range trade.
