Nasdaq Futures / NQ – Forecast for 21 April 2025
Bullish sentiment expected.
The sentiment is expected to turn bullish today at the later part of the day after an initial bearish downside. The sentiment is expected to turn bullish for today. The last bearish cycle ended on 17 April 2025 and now we are in a shorter bullish time cycle, to-be-followed by a consolidation and another bullish cycle.
Last Thursday, we expected a bullish recovery after an initial bearish sentiment. That kind of worked. The intraday signals seemed to work well. But the bullish recovery was not as strong as expected. It was the last day of the bearish time cycle. And because we were transitioning the time cycles, volatility was to be expected.
Today's time cycle suggests a bullish sentiment for NQ. A drop may occur at the beginning of the day (it might touch the overnight lows or some important support zones). But we expect it to turn into a bullish sentiment later, too. We do not expect a strong bullish move, but those cannot be ruled out because the sentiment over the three-day break was also bullish and likely to catalyze any bullish sentiment.
Always use time cycles in confluence with price action.
During the day, if price action suggests bearishness, we would take a cautious stance with short positions, and our bias remains bullish for the day.
Today's opening trade bias. (9.30 am)
Around 20 minutes to open, at 9.10 am, we could see some bearish momentum but that is not expected to last beyond 9.20 am. At 9.29 am we could see some sharp bearish mood but that is not likely to sustain. The real fun should start around 9.20 am, where the time cycle indicates a growing bullish sentiment with spikes of bearish strength. That means we could see volatility as it goes up.
And that continues through the open at 9.30 am. That could result into strong bullish move at 9.30 am. And this is likely to stay strong at least for a couple of minutes. According to the time cycles for the first 20 minutes, the bears are not likely to show sustained strength, however one could see strong bearish pullbacks
